TARSHA'S TOP 10 GLOSSIES OF 2012

Geçtiğimiz sene Gürcistan modası ve dergi piyasası üzerine lafladığımız Tarsha'yla bu sene yeniden bir araya geldik. Blog'u Glossy Newstand'de dünyadaki tüm moda dergilerinde yayımlanan editöryalleri ayaklarımıza kadar getiren Tarsha zamanla dünyanın en önemli dergi ve editörlerinin de dikkatini çekti. Wonderland bir defasında kapaklarını internette yayınladıktan sonra onu twitter'da metionlayarak kapaklarını beğenip beğenmediğini sordu. Love Magazine'den Katie Grand ve Alexander Fury ise olayı bir adım daha öteye taşıdı. Eylül ayında sitelerinde Tarsha'ya bir köşe ayırarak senenin en önemli sayısının kritiğini yapmasını istediler.

Ben senenin en iyi kapaklarını seçeyazarken Tarsha'ya sormamak da olmazdı elbette.

So once again I'm collobrating with the "world-famous" blogger Tarsha from Glossy Newstands. It was just again december when we did an interview on Georgian fashion & magazines. Back than he was only a contributor for the FashionSpot. Now with his very own blog on Tumblr he not only brings the whole world of printed fashion magazines together but also caught the attention of Lady Katie Grand from the Love Magazine and wrote about the famous september issues on Love Mag's web page.This time he writes for -not to mention my less known but humble- my blog. Choosing top 10 fashion magazine covers of 2012.

#10 Interview Russia  December 2012 / January 2013 : Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Two all-time favorite models of mine, together with my favorite photographers, it was a great and for the not so stellar 2012 year, cover-wise.

 #9 Vogue Netherlands December 2012 : Doutzen Kroes by Patrick Demarchelier

That's what should be a debut cover of Vogue Netherlands, it's very simple but Doutzen just makes it kinda special.

#8 Vogue Germany October 2012 : Kati Nescher by Camilla Akrans

 I am definitely not a Kati Nescher fan and this is first time I liked her image, definitely most beautiful cover of the year.

#7 Harper's Bazaar Turkey September 2012 : Marloes Horst by Koray Birand 

Turkish Bazaar has become one of the publications that I look forward to see each month, out of all the amazing covers this year they produced, this one was my favorite.

#6 Vogue Italia September 2012 : Carolyn Murphy by Steven Meisel 

 Meisel at it's best, very unexpected, very different, that's why I love Vogue Italia's specific covers.

 #5 Vogue Paris September 2012 : Kate Moss by Mert & Marcus 

just simply elegant and a cool cover

#4 Vogue Paris June/July 2012 : Gisele by Inez & Vinoodh  

You just can't beat Gisele on the beach in a swimsuit, editorial was spectacular aswell.

#3 Vanity Fair December 2012: Kate Moss  by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

You can see that majority of my favorite covers features Kate Moss and that's not surprising, because she is my absolute favorite model ever and still delivers an amazing cover images, this cover is one great example!

#2 LOVE F/W 12.13 Special Edition : Malgosia Bela by Mert & Marcus 

Malgosia is growing on me each time I see her image, this cover was absolute perfection, due to the great team working on it, I mean Malgosia, Mert & Marcus and of course Katie Grand.

#1 W March 2012 : Kate Moss by Steven Klein ( "Good Kate" cover) 

One of the best covers in Kate's career, my top favorite cover, not only in 2012 but in a looooong time.
